Systems (ERS)
Simple, efficient, and robust performance.
Our Energy Recovery Systems stand as the premier choice in the market.
Steam Turbines
We provide high-performance impulse and reaction steam turbines ranging from 50 kW to 20,000 kW. These systems are engineered to maximize thermal energy utilization in industrial cogeneration and mechanical drive applications.
Back-Pressure Turbines
Engineered for processes where exhaust steam is utilized for process heating or downstream thermal demands.
- Multi-stage Efficiency
- Modular Construction
Condensing Turbines
Optimized to maximize electrical power generation from available steam through full condensing operation.
- High Vacuum Operation
- Integrated Lube Oil System
Maxwatt recognizes that conventional steam turbines may not represent the optimal choice for low-pressure and wet-steam energy recovery. Such applications demand specialized thermodynamic architectures to ensure high reliability, superior efficiency, and minimal maintenance. Maxwatt delivers an extensive range of dedicated energy and pressure recovery turbines.
Using advanced and proven thermodynamic design and simulation tools, these units minimize component count—enabling direct-drive configurations without gearboxes and operating with simplified lubrication systems. Our objective is to equip industrial facilities with high efficiency, simple operation, and minimal lifecycle maintenance.

Distinctive Features of Maxwatt ERS / Micro Turbines
Double Pedestal Construction
Maxwatt ERS turbines employ a double pedestal construction with bearing supports on both sides of the rotor, guaranteeing long-term operational reliability and maximum uptime—particularly in applications utilizing high-dryness or saturated steam. Conventional overhung designs, which mount the rotor disc directly on the generator or gearbox shaft, suffer from severe gland and bearing degradation, resulting in frequent outages and costly maintenance.
Direct Drive – No Gearbox
Direct coupling between turbine and generator minimizes footprint and achieves a simplified, lower-speed rotating assembly. Compared to conventional geared designs, this yields clear operational advantages:
-
Eliminating the gearbox—the primary consumer of lubricating oil—removes the need for complex forced lube oil systems.
-
Substantially lower maintenance expenses—no need to stock costly gearbox bearings, oil baffles, or auxiliary high-capacity pumps.
-
A compact, streamlined skid requiring minimal lifecycle maintenance.
Customized Multi-Stage Design for High Efficiency
Engineered with multi-stage blading tailored to specific site steam parameters, these turbines achieve superior efficiency far exceeding any single-stage design. The key business benefit is a drastically reduced investment payback period.
Coupled with the dual-bearing pedestal arrangement, this enables a heavier, higher-inertia rotor that smoothly absorbs process steam demand fluctuations without grid frequency instability.
Rivet-less Bladed Design
Rotor blades are precision-machined with integral shrouds to present a continuous, aerodynamically smooth outer contour. This delivers:
-
Extends blade lifecycle by eliminating localized notch stresses caused by conventional riveted shrouds.
-
Tightens inter-stage clearances to maximize thermodynamic stage efficiency.
Multi-Control Valve Option for Efficient Part-Load Operation
Inlet steam admission is governed by two or three sequentially staged control valves, sustaining peak thermodynamic efficiency even under fluctuating part-load conditions common across industrial plants.
Common Skid Base Frame
The ERS turbine and generator are fully packaged and factory-aligned on a single heavy-duty skid, providing a streamlined, drop-in package that eliminates expensive civil foundation work.
Installation with Anti-Vibration Mounts (AVM)
The package can be delivered with engineered anti-vibration mounts (AVMs), drastically cutting civil construction timelines and costs. Furthermore, AVMs enable rooftop or upper-level mezzanine installation without specialized heavy foundation footings.
Induction Generator for Simplified Grid Interconnection & Parallel Operation
Utilizing an asynchronous induction generator, the system achieves seamless grid interconnection and parallel operation. It offsets plant utility consumption directly with generated power, while synchronization is automatically managed by pre-programmed start-up and process sequencing routines.
Fully Automated Control System
The control system utilizes a PLC-based architecture to deliver a fully automated control package featuring:
-
One-touch automatic start sequence.
-
Pushbutton and automatic shutdown control.
-
Comprehensive monitoring of operational parameters, critical limits, and faults.
Remote Monitoring via IoT Mobile Application
Operating parameters of the ERS package can be securely monitored in real time via a dedicated IoT mobile app. Plant supervisors can instantaneously verify key operational data including turbine speed, vibration, steam temperatures and pressures, bearing temperatures, power output, and generator winding conditions.
